Weston turned one the other day! I can't believe that he is already one!! Time is going by so fast, and he is keeping me busy (along with his sister). He is such a joy in our lives and adds a spunky personality that we love and appreciate. He loves to make others laugh and just about everywhere we go he has just about every woman swooning over him. (He's starting early!) He loves playing with his sister and making messes. Everyday he empties the toy cabinet completely out before he decides which toy he wants. He brings a smile to my face and makes my heart melt. We love you Weston!

Olivia's first day of School

Olivia started pre-school this year. (in September) She is loving it. She enjoys all of her teachers and comes home singing new songs all the time.

Summer Days/G&G Wee/Dads birthday

During the Summer, we spent time, doing anything that would entertain the kids.

This day of entertainment (or at least 20 min) consisted of pulling out all of the plastic sacks that need to go to recycling.

Anything with a steering wheel, buys me time!

We would go anywhere and everywhere in our little community to keep them happy.

Olivia loves waterfalls and trains! Its a good thing they are right next to each other... which also made for a fun family walk.

And sadly, our fields of green, turned to gold... however, still pretty... just not the green that I love during spring.

And I don't know what we would do without parks. We lived at the parks this summer.

Grandma and Grandpa Wee came up for a visit in August. We went and spent a day

up in Cour D' alene which is always a good time.

And we went on our fair share of bike rides also. We have some great trials in our area.

Oh, and just before we headed over to the San Juan Islands, we spent a day in Seattle. This is the only photo i got before my camera battery died.

And all summer long, we were able to spend lots of time with cousins. Olivia has the best cousins. We love our family!

We also celebrated Dad's birthday. He is the big 31 and working harder than ever. We are so blessed to have him as a father/husband. I count him as my one of my greatest blessings.

McCall 2011

Another year in McCall. We had a great time with family and spending time at the lake. We did all of our McCall favorites. We made Sandcastles......

Played in the water a little...

Went on a hike.....

Weston didn't care for the water, it wasn't exactly warm.

Played on the beach, and spent time hanging out at the cabin.

Went for rides on the boat, played a little water Wiffle ball, gave the paddle board a try...

Threw in some wake boarding and water skiing...

And of course, it wouldn't be a Walker get together without a round of golf. Another great year in McCall.

Not a very typical morning

Today started out like most of our other mornings, well at least one thing was normal about this morning. Weston was stirring a little in his crib making some noise, but not ready to fully wake up. (He does this every morning) He usually just wants us to put in the binki and he goes right back to sleep. So Chris got up and went up stairs and put his bink in. ---- And then this is where our everyday, normal morning turned out to be not so normal. ---- He came back down stairs and instead of getting back into bed for 30 min or so before he needed to get up, he went into the bathroom and grabbed his glasses and started putting on some clothes.. (no he wasn't naked, he was putting on clothes to go outside, again, it's just after 6:00 am) So I said, "what are you doing?" and he replied, "there is smoke coming from our back neighbors house." So I then jumped out of bed and looked out my blinds and fair enough, there was smoke, a lot of it, coming from our neighbors house. So I threw on some clothes, grabbed my phone and went outside. And to our surprise the curious smoke was this house on FIRE!

No one else was around or outside so we figured there was still people sleeping inside. So Chris started banging on doors and was on the phone with the 911 dispatcher and I ran around to the back door and started yelling and lucky for me and those inside the house, their back door was unlocked, so I opened it and stepped in and started yelling "THERES AND FIRE! WAKE UP! GET OUT OF YOUR HOUSE!" and luckily a colleged aged girl woke up and got her father and they got out of the house. Shortly after the fire trucks and fire fighters were there and in not time the fire was out. I am happy to say, everyone is okay. So a big thanks to Weston for wanting his binki this morning, and a huge thank you to Chris for paying enough attention to notice that something wasn't right... otherwise, there may have been a more tragic ending.

Just a side note, we watched this side of the house go up in flames rather fast, I was surpised at how long it took for the smoke detectors to go off. So check your smoke detectors and make sure your batteries are good.

While we were in Utah, we traveled over to Colorado for Chris' grandfathers funeral. It was a great service and we were thankful we were able to be there to remember and celebrate Ole Starkey's life.

On the way over to the funeral we made a pit stop in Aspen. We had never been there, and since it was on the way, it made for a great place to stop and let the kids (okay, me too) get out and run around.
We had a great time walking around and seeing the beauty of Aspen. Olivia was not to excited to get next to this bear. It was made out of nails. Pretty cool up close.

Then a few steps down the road we found her a bear.... just her size, that wasn't as scary looking. Again, the bear was made out of nails. She didn't look at him, but at least she touched his paw.

Aspen has good reason for it's name. I don't think I have ever seen such a dense population of aspen trees so close together. It was beautiful. (pictures really don't do it any justice)

And well, Olivia, Smiling is just too boring for her. She manages to always do something other than smile for the camera!

We also went up over independence pass. It was a gorgeous but winding drive. However it made for a fun little adventure. We spent a lot of time in the car in the month of July, but saw some of the most beautiful places along the way. This is one we can add to the list.

While in Utah, we were able to spend lots of time with grandma and grandpa, and all of my family. Olivia loved spending time with her cousins and didn't want to go home when our time was up.

She just LOVES her cousin Sydney. (and Blake too!)

On the 4th we had a BBQ up the canyon...and found a little trail to go on a little hike.

And we did fireworks. Olivia loves fireworks! She had fun helping dad light them too.

Hair Cut

When Olivia was 9 months old she didn't have any hair. (I can't believe that she was once

And although Weston doesn't have what some would say a full head of hair, he definitely has more than Olivia had at 18 months old. So a few weeks ago, he got his first hair cut.

Sandpoint

We headed up to Sandpoint, Idaho in early June to spend the day on the beaches of Lake Pend Oreille

We enjoyed playing at the park, building sand castles and watching seaplanes take off.

But what we were excited for the most was waiting at the finish line of the CHaFE 150 Bike ride that my MIL and FIL did.

They completed a 1/2 CHaFe which is 80 miles. I felt such a sense of pride just watching them cross the finish line

We are proud to have them as Grandma and Grandpa. They never fail to amaze and inspire us. Way to go!

Time to Catch up

I don't know where time has gone since I last posted. We've had a great summer thus far and over the next few posts I hope to get the blog up-to-date. For now, here are a few pics of the kids and some of our random days. As you can see, Olivia likes to do silly faces when the camera is out. As much as I try to get just a "normal" smile of her, it's the funny faces that she does, that perfectly portray her for who she is. She keeps us laughing and brings so much joy to our family.

But really this guy is all smiles most all of the time. He is so fun and easy going.

We can't get enough of him!

All in all, they are just great kids! We love them so much and are happy they are a part of our family.

Holidays past

For holidays lately I have been decorating the kids doors. It has turned out to be a lot of fun for Olivia. She knows its a holiday when she wakes up and sees that her door has been decorated.

This was for Valentines day.

St. Patrick's Day

And Easter. The Kids (well Olivia) had a great Easter and was so happy to finally be able to wear her Easter dress. She later threw up all over it. It was a lovely day. :(

Just a TIP....

(In case I am not the last person on earth to hear of this...)
So a few weeks ago Olivia had a cold. It was not fun for any of us in the house. I always feel so bad because their just isn't much, if anything at all that I can give to her. Well a lady friend at church gave me a great tip that I thought I would pass on.
She said, instead of putting Vicks on her chest... put it on the bottom of her feet (for those of you that don't know, your feet have the largest pores on them.) and then cover them with socks when she goes to bed. Well we tried it and it worked GREAT for Olivia. She slept better, I slept better, and the count down to spring is only 20 more days (more like 60 where I live).

These two are keeping me busy, but they are so much fun. The camera is usually laying around the house or close by so that if the right moment comes I can snap of pic of the them doing what they do. However by the time I am ready to snap the picture, the moment is over and getting them to both smile for me has long gone. So here is what our photo shoots look like:

Both the kiddos have there eyes open and are sorta smiling. We'll take it.

A few days later I was able to get a couple of good pics of them. Weston is almost 4 months now. Crazy. These are a couple of my favorite things/people.

And since the camera has been hanging around on the coffee table, kitchen counter, side tables, and desk...Olivia has managed to take a few (actually a lot) pics of Wesman. The Boys

At Christmas my SIL Liz took pics of the 3 newest members of our family. All Boys. The oldest of the three is Tate, Jenny and Larry's little guy. He was born 2 months before Weston. Then up next is our Wes-man, and just one week after Weston came Grayson, David and Liz's boy. And although he is the youngest of the bunch, he is the biggest!

Catch Up

The past few months have just flown by! I am not sure where to start or if I want to start at all. It seems as though my blogging buzz has ran out. (actually I'm not sure that the buzz was ever there!) So I will just play catch up and give you all the skinny on what we have been up to.
First up: Weston, or as we call him WES-MAN!

Here he is at 1 month. He was a crabby little thing for a while but has turned a new leaf in the past couple of weeks.
(lower) 2 months old and starting to smile and cue. I love this stage.

But before he started putting on the pounds, my friend Kate took some newborn pics for us. Here a a couple of our favs.

Then Chris gave this little guy a blessing.

Olivia is loving having a little baby around. She loves that WES-MAN fits in her doll stroller. She is putting him to good use!

She also is my buddy for working out! She keeps me motivated to shed these extra baby pounds!
And although Christmas has come and gone here are a couple of our pics this year.

It was great to go home and spend time with family and friends. I was especially proud of Olivia (and Adam) for patiently waiting to open presents on Christmas day. We didn't open our gifts until my mom got home from her shift at the hospital. It was about 2:00 in the afternoon. Here is some of the clan anxiously waiting! I love you guys!

Meet Weston

Weston joined our family on Oct. 25 at 12:01 am. He has been such a joy to have. He weighed in at 7lbs 3oz. and is one heck of a cutie! We just love him. He is healthy and doing well.

Olivia loves her new brother. She has been so good to him and is excited to have a constant playmate.

I think we will keep him and try to get a little more of this!

A Girly Day

With just about a week to go before baby #2 joins our family... I thought I would do something just for Olivia. So we spent the day doing girly things together. We did our fingernails...(painting fingernails is one of her favorites)

She picked out the perfect color for this time of year. Orange... like pumpkins!(of course)

Grass

Remember these photos back in the first part of spring? Well we've spent a lot of time working in the yard and preparing it, so that we could lay grass seed.

So we raked, and raked, and raked. Put some seed down.... and now.... aaaahhhhh the long awaited grass is growing. It's only been a couple of weeks... So hopefully by Halloween the coverage will be fuller and who knows, maybe we'll even be able to mow it!

A Quick Trip to Utah

A few weeks ago I was able to head home to Utah for a couple of days and spend time with my sisters and Family. But mostly my sis, Jen.. whom while I was there had her baby.

A Seattle Labor Day Weekend

For Labor day we headed over to Seattle. But on the way we made a pit stop at Leavenworth. It is a cute little Bavarian town not too far from Seattle. There are a lot of great shops and in each one you went into it felt like Christmas. So I found a pic on google of it a Christmas time. I think next time we go, we will do it around the holidays because I would like to see it decked out in lights like he picture below for myself.

Olivia is holding her Santa snow globe that she got there. Unfortunately she dropped it and it is already broken.

Then, we headed over to seattle. We did the downtown thing and there I was able to get me some of this... aaahhhhh. It was nice to be there.

We were able to hit up Safeco Field and see the Mariners play a game before their season is over.

Gotta love the moose. Olivia wouldn't take a pic with him by herself... so Dad to the rescue. I think he was enjoying it more then her by the look on his face!

Olivia did so good at the game. Near the end she managed to lay in the seat and get nice and comfortable.

We went on a Ferry ride...

And then we hit up Snoqualmie Falls on our way out.

We had a great time. Ate a ton of food and spent time with family. What else could be better?
(not an Alaskan cruise....I'm still a little bitter)

We recently got back from our annual trip to McCall. The weather was great and it was a great way to relax and spend time with the fam.

We went Kayaking. Olivia wasn't sure what to think.

We spent a lot of time on the Beach. (my favorite part)

Boat rides, tubing, plenty of skiing and wake boarding

And of course Golf. (How many golf carts does it take for the Walker family?)

And I got plenty of reading time in to finish the Hunger games ... and start The Giver. Both I would recommend.

All in All it was another great trip!

Our Holiday

For our 4th of July Holiday, we had a room with a window,

Personal room service that waited on me hand and foot...

And bottomless drinks.

But missed these...

So your wondering why?
Do to complications to Kidney stones and pregnancy... Our 4th wasn't the funnest, nor one we really care to remember. After a week in the hospital, I am home and doing better. Hopefully I can just pass these stones and get on with my life and my trip to Utah.

A Family Weekend

Over Memorial Day Weekend some of my family from Utah made the long trip up to hang out with us. We really enjoyed having them and hope that they enjoyed it here. I tried to make sure that while they were here they would get to experience all that our small town of Moscow has to offer.

We started out at the Farmers Market. Thank goodness the rain held out on us while we were there.

We really wanted to get lunch at one of our favorite places in town, but it was closed! So we settled for another hole in the wall type restaurant. VJ's..I think we would have enjoyed Mikey's more. Sorry guys!

Then, what else do you do in a small town on a rainy day? Oh yes, we went bowling! (Adam, you really shouldn't get so grumpy while playing. Although, you did lose to me, and your wife!)

We ate sugar cookies until we were sick... yum!

And then we gave "Holy Board" a try.

All in All, I had a great time and I know Olivia loved having all the attention from Grandma and Grandpa Wee, Aunt Krissy, Aunt Lauren, and of course Uncle Abbett..(Adam)
We miss you and can't wait to see you all again soon!

What have we been up to lately?

Yard Work! Well not as much as we would like, (thanks to the mother nature and the rain!) but while the warm weather teased us for a week or so, we went to work on our yard. Olivia was our little helper that managed to get right into the digging. (For some reason she used her mouth to move the dirt!)

The weeds were almost as tall as Olivia. She actually really like that though.

She was right in on all the action too. Making sure that she didn't miss a minute of being outside.

In order to get rid of the weeds, we rented a machine to get the job done a little quicker. Unfortunately, we had a bump in the road and the machine got stuck ...(And no, for all those wondering, It wasn't me!)

Luckily our neighbor Tyler, was having a party with all his high school friends that same evening and they brought there muscles over and helped us get it out along with another neighbor who pulled it out with his truck!

And eventually it was free and we were all happy!

BIg Girl Bed

She did it all on her own. One night while heading up the stairs to go to bed, she said, " I want to sleep in Princess room." So we gave it a try and haven't looked back. It is so nice that she can get herself out of bed in the morning and come down when she is ready. And so far we have been really lucky... she doesn't get out much at night if at all. And the craziest part about it is, when we put her to bed she wants us to close her door!

She was so excited to take pictures in her bed the next morning. We must have taken 20.

Olivia has found a few new past time things that she really likes. One is Hide n' Seek. She says to me and Chris all the time, "hide, hide, hide!!" She loves to hide in our bed and under blankets. Her newest place of hiding is in our closet. It was kind of hard to find her with her legs hanging out;)! But I was proud of her cleverness!

And another one of her past times that she loves is to push the chair over to the sink and play with anything in the sink...and she loves the water. It usually ends up all over. But hey, it can be wiped up! So have fun Livi!

She Sleeps

Olivia has NOT been taking naps for about a month now. This was NOT my decision either. But since she has decided that she is done with naps, we started doing "Quiet Time". It has been going pretty good for the most part. She usually wants to put all the couch pillows on the floor and watch one of "Libby's shows" as she says. So I put in one of her shows and she quietly watches for about 15 minutes before moving on to something else that she would rather do. Before, I know it... "quiet time" is no longer quiet and my house has been turned up-side down! However, on occasion, she will fall asleep on her own, when she really is just exhausted! Today, was one of the those rare occasions... She fell ASLEEP!! Hallelujah!! Thank you! It was a great afternoon! And I was able to get a few things done. He she is... just sleeping away on her couch pillows!

I couldn't resist taking pictures, worried that the flash may wake her, but it didn't even phase her. She was that tired!

And then, the time came. I had to wake her. If only I could have those quiet moments more often..... ahhh.

Lately

Olivia is so funny. She is always making me laugh and keeps me busy. One thing that she says lately, that I randomly hear her say is "anta, HO! HO! HO!" (anta is Santa) Christmas must be on her mind a lot because we hear it all the time! Among many other things that she loves to do is dress herself, which results in a room covered in clothes, until she finds just the right outfit for her. Here is one of her "getting dressed all by herself" outfits looks like.

So if you see us around town, and she looks very homely... just note, she dressed herself. (Or I was to lazy to get her dressed and I look just as cute as she does:))

We also took her bowling for the first time. She loved it! I think she even bowled a better score than me!

And that hat she is wearing, that is my latest project. I learned how to crochet and thought, I might as well do a hat! I was really easy, and she wears it all the time. I am not sure if she is just trying to make me feel better or what, I am just glad that it fits.

My first hat that I started didn't really end up all the great. I don't know what I did wrong, either way, it just didn't work. Although, I have come up with some other ways to use it. (I won't expound) Here it is....

Before and After

This summer before we moved into our house, I was on a mission to find furniture that we could furnish our house with. However, I wanted to keep the cost down. Thank goodness Moscow has such great Yard Sales ( Seriously though, better than back at home by far!). I was able to find several things for our home for a very thrifty price.

And here are a few others that I have done. I don't know where the before pics went, but I love the way they turned out. Its amazing the potential that all these things have that someone considered junk.

And the White things... well I repainted them and added the greenery and whatever else you see!

Only 4 more months before yard sale season is underway! Can't wait to see what other treasure I will find!

Since my sewing machine is out...

After sewing Olivia's shirt together, I thought I would give one of my old white shirts that I never wear, a try. Time to re-vamp a few things in my closet... So I thought I would start with this one.

1. Old white shirt in my closet that is collecting dust.

2. Take scrapped piece of Chiffon that I have and ruffle it on my machine.

3. Pin it onto my shirt in a way that I think I would actually wear it out of the house.
(This was the worst part of the process, I think I stuck my fingers, hands, and arms a gazillion times!)

4. Sew it on! ( It took some time and a few swear words, but it's on)

5. The finished look. Add skinney Jeans, Tall riding boots and a cardigan... And I am ready for a night out with the girls sipping my steamer, sitting in our favorite coffee shop!
Now its your turn. If you can sew, even just a beginner like myself, you can do it!

And this is a Blog milestone for me. I don't think I have ever posted blogs on back to back days! Aren't you proud?!

Flower Ruffles Shirt

So I have been on a craft kick lately. It has been fun for the most part. I just hope Olivia hasn't heard to many of those four letter words that I only say when I am frustrated! Anyway, I have been blog stalking so many crafty blogs out there, and have been inspired to make Olivia a shirt. And hopefully one for me too! So I was set out to do it and to do it for a very thirty price.
This is what I did:
I started with one of her onesies that she no longer wheres. (still is the right size for her, we have just done away with onesies.)

Then I cut off the bottom of it and added a ruffle around the bottom.

Then I took an old pair of sock that i know longer need and made arm warmers... (Kind of like the leg warmers that you see all the time that are so cute.)

Then I added some flowers to the front, put on her arm warmers and Voilá!
Here she is in her new shirt. Total cost of shirt re-make??

Créche

This year our Church put on a créche for our community. There were over 400 Nativities from all over the world. It was really neat to see nativities from Haiti, Pakistan, Iran, Croatia, Jerusalem, Brazil, Mexico and many, many other countries from across the globe. It was really neat. While checking out the nativities there was also a live nativity set up to take pictures. Costumes and photographers were provided. What do you think?

Here on some pics of the Nativities. Really the picture just doesn't do justice to what it was really like. Whether you believe in Him or not, the feeling was undeniable and very strong.
This last picture is the Fontanini set that my MIL set up. My brother-in-law, Darren, has been collecting this nativity set for years. Isn't it so amazing?

The Martha in Me

I don't consider myself to be a crafty person. I never really have been. When it comes to making my own crafts, well, they usually turn out to be a disaster. But lately I have been on a craft kick knowing that the outcome probably won't be what I was hoping for. And thanks to some friends here, they have inspired me to give my crafty skills a try. So I made a purse. And to my ASTONISHMENT... It actually turned out just fine. In fact I am toting it around town as my purse.

The flower was actually really easy to make! ( Olivia was mad that I wasn't taking pictures of her, so she made her way into the photo!)

The inside of the bag matches the flower. And there are a couple of pockets too!

I even enjoyed making it enough, that I will probably make more. And I hope that this crafty side of me will even take on some new projects. Because it is going to be a long winter!

My favorite part of the house.. The Kitchen.. My Brother and I antiqued the Kitchen Cabinets.

The Great Room.

We love this room because during the day these windows let in a TON of natural Light. (Which is a necessity for winter!)

I LOVE my door knobs. All the doors in the house have glass door knobs with the original back plates. Chris and I had to scrub all the rust off of them and they turned out great. They are all from the early 1900's. Ebay was great for finding these!

Laundry room with a recycled old weathered door. Our contractor had to add 6 inches to the door to make it tall enough to fit our normal sized door. ( Which amazes me that doors were so short back in the old days! Have people gotten a lot taller?)

At the last minute I choose to do hooks in the bathroom over towel bars. Now I don't have to worry about keeping my towels straight and nicely folded!

Olivia's bedroom. She actually isn't sleeping in here yet but soon will be when we transfer her to a big girl bed. We decided to do the diamonds again, since they were so short lived in our last house.

176 Days of Building Our House

We have completed our house and are in the process of making it our home. We moved in about 2 months ago and have loved being here. I posted several pics, proof of our adventure in building a home. Luckily, we didn't have too many bumps in the road while building,
which made the process a lot of fun for me. And the end result was exactly the way I pictured!

This is what the lot looked like right before they started to dig the hole for our foundation.

We were so excited to have a hole in the ground.
Shortly after the hole was dug, we had footings and a foundation poured.

Then started the framing process. The house is taking shape!!

We have bedrooms!

Then came the roof and windows.

And some siding.

Along with some plumbing, electrical, hvac, insulation, and drywall.

Then, I decided to take on some tiling. I laid all of the tile in the house. (my hands and fingers were sore for days!)

Then we hired a painter to drive 700 miles to paint our house. Adam, my brother painted the whole house along with the kitchen and laundry room cabinets. Above is a pic of the kitchen before he painted the cabinets. We had a great time putting in 15 hour days for a 10 days straight. But it was worth it. I love the way it all turned out! And the memories... still have me laughing.

Then our driveway and front porch were poured.

And the outside was painted and the retaining walls were put up. (thanks to my awesome husband who stacked a majority of those 90 lb blocks!)
This is our house...176 days later.

Olivia is becoming more interested in the toliet lately and it has been good so far. Today we managed to get her to go "pee pee" twice in her potty. I have a feeling it is only going to get better from here. Yea! No more diapers... (soon hopefully:))

Yea!! It was a hard couple of days, but we have made it without it now for two weeks and she doesn't seem to miss it. Thank goodness!

So I am way behind on blog post, which I am sure, doesn't come as a surprise to many of you. Life is a little too crazy and busy as we are in the final days of the home building process. Someday I will post some of the fun things that we have been up to lately...But until then, this will have to do.
Olivia is already a teenage girl in so many ways. She loves shoes, jewelry, makeup and anything else that falls the teenage category! She is busy and fun and we just can't get enough of her.

Weekend with Jen and Larry

A week ago or so we met up with my sister Jen and
her hubby Larry in McCall.
It was fun to see them and spend time at both
Payette and Cascade Lakes.

Olivia loved the water, both lake water and bath water!

It was a perfect night for a sunset over the lake. It was so fun to see you Jen and Larry!

4th on the Palouse

We filled our 4th with a day full of events. We started out at the Johnson parade. As you can see by the picture, there is not a lot in the town of Johnson, which is why we love it.

After the Parade we went to the Farmer's Market and had ice cream cones to cool us down and watched the dog show.

Later we had a BBQ with friends, which i don't have pics to show for it but the food sure was good. Then we ended our day with nothing less then a late night of fireworks and a very tired Olivia.

Moscow Flare

One thing about Moscow that I have really started to like is the character the town has, and I am not just talking about the people either. The first time I visited Moscow I thought it was a funky place where people must of had there colors mixed up. Now I really like it, and I'm finding that when we pick out the paint colors for our house, we can't do something that is too comfortable or safe. The Running of the Lilac Bloomsday Run 2009

So Chris, myself and some family members participated in the Bloomsday Run which is a 12K or 7.46 miles.

It really was a neat event with over 50,000 participants.

Easter

Easter was a fun weekend, although the weather wasn't great we still
ended up having a good weekend.

Utah

Several weeks ago we were able to take a trip back home for a visit. It was nice to see the family and we were lucky enough to get warm weather. It was great!

Jen and I managed to wear the same shirt in this photo.

We also spent some time at the park where Krissy, Larry and Jen were able to be a kid again on the swings.

Olivia, bless her heart, spent time trying out different slides. By the look on her face, you would have thought that she didn't like it but she couldn't get enough of it.

Grandma and Grandpa Weekley were able to take Olivia to the park and feed the ducks too.

Olivia and her cousin Grant spending quality time together. Oh, we miss him!!

Overall, it was a great trip and we can't wait to come and visit again.

Trip to Seattle

Sarah took us to a great little restaurant called Zippy's, we even met "Zippy" the dog.

We were able to take advantage of the great sunny weather and went down to the Olympic park and walked the wharf. It was absolutely beautiful!

Then we headed to the Children's Science Museum where we were able to do all kinds of cool things. We checked out the dinosaurs, Olivia learned how to drive a car
and we walked in a room full of butterflies. It really was a cool place.

Chris and I had a chance to walk around the city and hit up Pike's Market.

And before we left we were able to get out the kayaks and kayak on Lake Stevens.

Settling In

Since we have moved up here to Moscow, We have been very busy. Especially me. I have been to many U of I basketball games, where I even met "Joe Vandal"

I've found a place behind the couch that I like to hide,
and Grandma lets me put on all her pretty necklaces!

And although some of you many think that Idaho isn't up to speed with the 21st Century, I must say that I seem to be adapting well with today's technology!
(Grandma let me put on some of her necklaces again:))

Not too long ago, my cousin Avery came over to stay with us from Seattle and we got to do all kinds of fun things together!

And the other day, It snowed a TON!! So mommy took me sledding on our front lawn. It was a lot of fun, but I think I am ready for it to be spring so I can wear something that is more slimming to my figure!

Over all, Life in Idaho has been Great!

It's official... We are moving to Moscow

Many of you already know, but for those who don't know, we are moving to Moscow. Not Moscow, Russia but Moscow, ID, Chris' hometown. Chris is going to work for Northwestern Mutual Financial Network as a financial representative. He will be selling life insurance and investments. He gave his employer his notice this last week and he'll be going to Moscow this weekend. He will fly back next week to pick Olivia and me up. We are excited for the move but a little nervous too. We are going to miss Utah and all of our friends and family. We hope to stay in touch with all of you.

We also had a great Christmas and I've included some pictures from the holidays. We got to ride on Adam and Krissy's snowmobiles, we went sledding, and Olivia got to wear the Olympic gold thanks to cousin Suzanne and Ryan Millar.

Belated Birthday Post

Olivia is officially ONE!!
(well she has been for a while now, hence the title)

Yes, we stripped her down so that she could dive into her cake.. but she really didn't. I wasn't too disappointed about that either.
We celebrated Olivia's birthday with her cousin Sydney, who's birthday is the day after hers

Then a few days after we celebrated Olivia's birthday with my family we headed up to Moscow, Idaho to celebrate Thanksgiving and many other festivities that we had going on.

Then after the holiday we celebrated Olivia's birthday, again, with Chris' side of the family.
This time we decided not to strip her down and let her do her own cake eating. It was just much easier.

There is one thing I know Olivia likes now that she is one. That is riding front facing in her car seat. It has made the traveling in the car much better for everyone.

A Ride on the Polar Express

The other night we were able to board the Polar Express, visit
the North Pole and meet Santa Claus.
Nothing but great times with the fam.

Blake was so excited to see Santa that I could hardly get him to take his eyes off of him and look at me so I could take a picture. I must say he was so cute!

And of course we were all able to leave with a souvenir. The magical Bell. I hope that we can all hear the bell ring, just as Blake does and that we can truly believe in much more than just
Santa Claus. I love the Christmas season... I can't think of anything better to celebrate than that of the birth of our Savior.

This last weekend we went to San Diego for Chris' brother's wedding. The wedding was in the San Diego temple. The temple was very beautiful and the bride and groom seemed very happy. The reception was at Cari's parent's house. They have a beautiful home and they did a great job with the reception. Chris's whole family (now at 21 people) were able to make it down to for the wedding, so it was fun having everyone together. While in San Diego, we also took the opportunity to go to the beach to enjoy the nice weather. It was a fun weekend and we wish Darren and Cari the best.

The Sunshine State!

This last week I got to go to Florida with Mommy and Daddy. Daddy had some work there so he used some skymiles and got mommy and me a ticket to go with him. We went to Orlando. Mommy tells me Mickey Mouse lives there, but we didn't get to see Mickey this time. Mommy said maybe next time, when I'm older, we can go see Mickey and all his friends.

We did go to beach one day but the weather wasn't very good. A storm was coming in so it was really windy. It was fun to see the big waves though and hang out on the pier.

My favorite part of the trip was playing in the big pool. The pool had a big octopus that sprayed water everywhere. While Daddy worked, Mommy and
I got to catch some rays and relax in the pool. I know, it's a rough life.

I really liked drinking the pool water. It was very salty and very tasty!

I also got to see an alligator for the first time. At the hotel they had a pool with baby alligators in it. In this picture the alligators are on the rock to right of me.

One night I was bored, so I decided to crawl into a drawer and hang out. When mommy saw me she thought it was pretty funny so she took a picture.

The trip was a lot of fun but I'm glad to be home now.

Olivia and I were able to go to the big city of New York. We had a great time. Olivia had a lot to take in from the moment we arrived and I think she enjoyed her time in the Big Apple.

Last week we went to McCall, ID to Great Grandpa Walker's cabin. It was my first time and it was great! I loved playing on the beach with my umbrella and raft. I also liked the hike we went on, riding bikes, and playing with cousins. The weather was nice and we had a fun time as you can tell by the pictures below.

I'm not quite walking yet, so my daddy carried me on his back. I gave him a thank you hug.

It was fun riding on the boat. I got to see mommy wake board and daddy ski. Maybe when I'm older I will get to ski and wake board too!!

McCall is a very pretty place. Daddy says he's been going to McCall ever since he was my age. That's a long time cause he's old.

It was Great Grandpa Walker's 80'th birthday so at the end of the week we had a family reunion with all of daddy's cousins, aunts and uncles. It was fun to meet all my relatives. I think there was like 65 people there.

Summer Fun

Chris and I made it up to Park City a few weeks ago and made it a night out on the town. We had a great dinner and then headed up to the Alpine Slides and the Alpine Coaster. We had a blast!
I would recommend both to anyone but if for some reason you could only do one... do the Coaster...It is much, much faster!

The Coaster was so much fun. I think that I could of done that
over and over at least a dozen times!

Happy late 4th of July!

On the 4th of July, mommy and daddy let me stay up way past my bedtime so I could see fireworks for the first time. It was really fun! Daddy held me close so I wouldn't get scared. We had a fun 4th of July with a BBQ and time spent with family. I hope you all had a good 4th too.

In other news, I was getting tired of just sitting on my bum and looking at cool objects to put in my mouth from a distance so I figured out how to move my arms with my legs at the same time and crawl over to the things that mommy and daddy don't want me to put in my mouth. I don't know if Mommy is happy or mad that I'm mobile now. As you can tell by the second picture, sometimes I don't think she wants me to move around too much!

Since it's now officially summer I've been trying to work on my tan by getting out to the pool and going on walks with mommy. I'm usually doused with sunscreen and wearing a hat so I don't catch too many rays but I love being outside.

The month of June has flown by!! I feel like I've added a few months to my already very old 6 1/2 months.

To update you all on what I've been up to, I've posted some pictures below.

Grandma and Grandpa Walker visited from Idaho and we went to the zoo, ate mommy's favorite food (deaji bulkogi), and went to Park City to watch cousin Sydney and Kendal's dance recital.

Believe it or not the picture below was taken in June. We all got together to watch the fireworks during Eagle Mountain's Pony Express Days. I'm hiding in the blanket Jen's holding.

The month of June is filled with family birthdays. Happy Birthday Aunt Jen, Aunt Krissy, Aunt Heidi, and cousin Blake. Below is a picture from Krissy's birthday and one from Blake's birthday.

The weather finally warmed up and we got to go on Uncle Adam's new boat. I really liked it. I'll have to convince my daddy to get one some day.

I got to meet up with my big city boyfriend from New York, Curtis. Don't tell my dad but I think he's pretty cute.

Mom and I went and took some glamor shots to give to my daddy for Daddy's Day. Thanks Aunt Liz for taking such good shots. The pictures turned out great and my daddy loved them.

I hope you all have enjoyed the last couple posts mommy has posted but I know the real reason you all come to the blog is to see ME!! Little Miss Olivia. So I figured I would take over for mommy and give you all an update on what is going on with me.

Mommy's Day was a couple weeks ago and we had a lot of fun. I am very lucky to have such a great mommy. She always plays with me and makes me giggle and takes very good care of me. Below is a picture we all took on Mommy's Day.

Mommy and I went swimming a couple weeks ago. We went with one of my friends McKenna. We had so much fun. I was a little scared of the water at first but now you might as well call me a fish!

I've moved up to rice cereal! At first I didn't know what to think of it but after I learned how to swallow I liked it. Mommy thinks it tastes like water but I think it tastes like candy!! I guess I don't know any different. I'm a very good eater and I'm putting on the pounds!!!

I'm getting so heavy that it is harder for daddy to keep me balanced on his hand!

I will be 6 months old soon. Mommy says I'm a chatter box. I'm also rolling over, sitting up, and giggling. I love to learn new things. I hope you are all well and I'll be back soon.

I know several people that hate the news because they feel like it's all bad news. About a week ago my brother gave Chris and I some tickets to the Jazz game. We decided to take Olivia with us. Some of the cheering scared her at first but after a few minutes she got used to it and I think ended up liking the game.

4 Months Old

Olivia is 4 months old now and we are just loving every minute of it (Except the stinky poopy diapers)! She is weighing in at a whopping 12 lbs. and is 24 inches. She really is just an absolute joy! I just can't believe how fast time flies!
Lately we have been working on tummy time. Hopefully one day she won't mind being on her tummy. Her face says it all.

She is also practicing sitting up on her own

But overall I think she really just wanted to eat the camera!

maybe we will be able to capture some good smiles later.. As for now, well... you can tell by the pictures... She wasn't really interested in smiling.

February - Month in Review

February was a busy month. For some reason daddy seemed more stressed during February. Maybe it was because mommy's birthday is in Feb, Valentine's Day is in Feb, and mom and dad's anniversary is in Feb. That's a lot of pressure! Everything went well though, other then I cut mom and dad's anniversary dinner short because I was hungry. Everything else is going well. I am three months old now and growing like a weed! I love playing with mommy inside but as you can tell by the picture below we get a little bored sometimes so we can't wait for warmer weather!!!!

I'm a little embarrassed, as you can tell from this picture, I haven't written a blog in awhile so I'm asking you all for forgiveness. I've been very busy lately though. I've learned to sit up in my chair and smile...

I feel so grown up! I've also learned how to walk on the treadmill. Oh, I mean I don't do the walking but mommy straps me into my carrier and we walk together. It is a lot of fun...

I am also getting better at sitting up on Daddy's hand. He has me stand on his hand sometimes too but Mommy doesn't like that as much.

I think my best excuse for not keeping up with the blog is I've been too busy with my favorite past time....

I hope you are all well and I promise I will do better about keeping you all up to date.

As you can tell by this picture I was very excited for my blessing. I got to wear a pretty dress and all my family came to see me. The blessing was very nice and I am grateful for the blessing I received. I am grateful to be part of the church and look forward to the day I get to wear another white dress and get baptized!

I love my family very much and I'm so glad Grandma and Grandpa Weekley and Grandma and Grandpa Walker and all my aunts, uncles, and cousins were able to be at my blessing.

Today is my one month birthday!! Life has been pretty good so far. Mommy and Daddy take good care of me and I have really nice grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins!! In my first month I have already had a professional photo shoot (thanks Aunt Liz), been the star of a live nativity, and driven through a snow storm. I would have to say my favorite thing to do is sleep as you can tell from the picture above, but I also enjoy eating, playing with cousins, going on car rides, taking baths, and dancing with mommy. She is so funny, she thinks she is a good singer and dancer but I don't have the heart to tell her she is not so I just give her a little smile once in awhile. I also love my bedroom. It is very pretty. I am also grateful for all my new friends that gave me such a nice wardrobe. I would have to say I'm a pretty snazzy dresser.

Well I better go because I'm getting hungry. I think I will cry so Mommy will come feed me. Thank you all for your love and well wishes. This first month has been great and I look forward to many more. I'll leave you all with a few pics from my first month.

Christmas with the Walkers

This year we spent Christmas with the whole Walker Family. It was a full house hold but we enjoyed our time together .

Grandma and Grandpa Walker really spoiled us while we were there. Thanks to them for all they do for us and for making Christmas so great.

The Battle has begun!! Between all the Ladies in my family it may be a battle to see who can win over little Olivia's Heart and become her favorite aunt. I am already hearing the smack talking between my sisters...and to tell you the truth it is actually pretty cute. Hear are a couple of Pictures of my two sisters... Jenny and Krissy with Olivia. Our baby girl was born Thursday, November 29th at 9:20 p.m. She was 6 lbs. 11 oz. and 19 1/2 inches long. Mom and baby are both doing great and are home now. (Dad is also doing well, if any of you were wondering) Olivia is very sweet and has already brought so much joy into our lives. I've attached a few pictures but I'm sure Heather will be posting more and telling you all about the experience later when she has time.

Christmas is Coming!!

So the Christmas Season is officially underway. We have Checked off our Christmas to do list and are ready(except for the Christmas shopping thing)...we set up our Christmas tree and the lights are on the house, the Stockings have been hung and now all we need is for Santa to come!
-Now if I could only put going into labor on my list of things to do today!!
